WISTA UK - November Networking Event

Maritime UK Solent is delighted to be partnering with WISTA UK Solent (Women's International Shipping and Trading Association) on a series of networking events for our fantastic communities of women working in maritime in the Solent area.

WISTA UK Solent promotes diversity in the maritime, trading and logistics sectors, empowering women to lead through their unique perspective and competencies, with the conviction that gender diversity is key in providing a sustainable future for the shipping industry internationally.

This networking event is being held at the Pitcher and Piano in Ocean Village, Southampton. Male colleagues are of course welcome to attend with you. Once registered, turn up, buy a drink and start networking.

Speakers include:

• Jo Cole from the National Oceanography Centre (NOC), who will talk about the NOC’s aspirations to reignite their Ships-of-Opportunity programme.
• Claire Hogan from Boskalis Westminster Ltd who will talk about the Inspiring the Future maritime programme run by Maritime UK's Outreach for Schools and Colleges; Claire is a very active volunteer, who participates in careers and outreach work with schools and colleges locally.
