A New Vision for the Region's Screen Sector

Event Description

Join us in shaping the future of the region's screen industries as we launch a bold vision for growth and collaboration at the 2024 Regional Screen Industries Cluster Meeting.

At the Screen Industries Cluster Meeting taking place in 11 December, we will be launching the regional Screen Support Feasibility Study. This important document outlines a roadmap for a regional film office and growth strategy, and the event will highlight opportunities for the region's screen industries amid increasing global interest, focusing on skills, training, and cultural impact.

The event will provide a platform for stakeholders to discuss opportunities and to collaborate, to share insights, and shape the future of the screen industries in the region. Attendees will engage in meaningful discussions on how to unlock the immense economic and cultural potential of the screen sector, ultimately paving the way for a prosperous future.

This is a significant opportunity for all stakeholders in the region to come together and chart a path forward for the screen industries. By working collaboratively and drawing on the region's strengths, we can ensure that it becomes a vibrant, dynamic, and sustainable hub for screen production, contributing to both local economic growth and the broader cultural impact of the UK’s screen industries.

STEVE PITT: Leader of Portsmouth City Council, portfolio for Culture, Regeneration & Economic Development.

JO NOLAN: Managing Director of Screen South, an Arts Council England National Portfolio Organisation and cultural development organisation with digital creativity at its heart.

CHRIS CURLEY: Head of Nations and Regions Member Relations and Projects at PACT, the UK screen sector trade body representing and supporting independent production and distribution companies.
